New Names & Fashion Shows at Pier 94

Hi Everyone,

First and foremost, I would like to apologize for being away for so long.   There is no good reason other than working some really long hours on the third edition of the New York International Bridal Week at Pier 94.

Let’s catch up on what has been going on.

This past April we had the pleasure of welcoming some new faces & brilliant designers to Pier 94.  To name a few, Anne Barge, Eve of Milady, Cymbeline, Alyne by Rivini & Kevan Hall joined us in the Couture Studio along with the designers who have shown with us from the start like: Claire Pettibone, Ian Stuart, David Fielden, Justina McCaffrey, Sassi Holford, Debra Moreland is Paris, LeaAnn Belter, Jenny Yoo, Ivy & Astor, Watters, Birnbaum & Bullock, & Angel Rivera.   This list is too long to complete but the great news is that all of these fabulous designers will be back with us in October for the upcoming New York International Bridal Week at Pier 94.

Along with our Couture Studio, which is growing by the minute, we also have the pleasure of working with with such marquee companies as:  The Dessy Group, Casablanca, Allure Bridals, Nicole Miller, James Clifford, Malis Henderson, Essense of Australia, & once again the list is quite long.  Our list of fine exhibitors will include most of the companies you currently do business with and some new names that you will want to be doing business with.  We are loaded and ready for a great show.  

And we can’t forget the all important prom and special occasion category.  They are representing very well & some of our designers in this segment include:  Jovani, Terani, Mac Duggal, Blush Prom, Sherri Hill, Landa & Night Moves.

What I would like to do is to encourage everyone to look at our exhibitor listing on our website, linked below, and to take a serious look at the growing list of designers joining us.   We have links to the designers websites so you can start your market planning early.

Who is new?  I would like to annouce that Enzoani will be joining us at Pier 94 this October and we are collectively thrilled to be working together at Pier 94.  Also new is: Theia, Amy Kuschel, Anna Elyse & Annie Girl, Lynn Lugo, & some exciting new names that will be announced shortly.

What is new?  We are proud to let you know that Anne Barge, Claire Pettibone and Eve of Milady have booked their fashions shows at Pier 94 in our Fashion Theater.   Again, there may be more exciting news to follow…but I can’t say anything yet.

There is  much more to report  so you can count on me being back in the blogging business as things move along.  This is it for now, but I promise to be back soon because we have lots to talk about.

New York International Bridal Week is right around the corner…

We have all been working fast and furiously on the April Market and I can’t believe that in a few short weeks we will be back in New York at Pier 94!   Joining us will be an incredible representation of the bridal industries best so make sure you don’t miss the chance to see what is happening now.

Markets are important for so many reasons and after being a member of the bridal industry for so many years, I equate market to hitting the refresh button on a computer.   It is time to refresh and see what is new and who is new?  It is a time to review the fabrics, the silhouettes, the hemlines, and all of the details that today’s savvy brides are looking for.  The fashion in bridal right now is amazing and it comes full circle with spectacular options in the world of accessories and special occasion.   

Market is a time when our industry comes together and we hit the refresh button.  We refresh our all important business relationships, our inventories, our knowledge and our energy needed to keep up with today’s bridal business. 

We will continue to do our part to offer you a refreshing new way to work the bridal market in New York and we look forward to seeing you at Pier 94 on April 9th-11th.

New York International Bridal Week-First Edition Wrap Up

Our first New York International Market Week took place October 16-18, 2010 and we hope that we have changed the landscape of New York Bridal Market forever.  It can be easier, it can be more fun, and it can be more productive if we all come together as an industry.  This of course is the challenge and we know the hard work must continue.

We want to thank all of the designers and manufacturers that joined us in our inaugural show.  Your trust and faith in us meant a great deal.   We promise to do all that we can to bring  everyone over to join us and create a venue where retailers and press alike can work more efficiently in New York.

For all of the retailers and press that came to work at Pier 94 we hope you enjoyed the show.  New York International Bridal Week is committed to making your life easier and we will continue to do whatever it takes to make this happen for you!

The work has already started for April and I will share that we already have some amazing people signed in….More to come in the following weeks

Day Three – New York International Bridal Week!

Many great retailers have been on the show floor for the last two days and we have more on site right now waiting to get in!    The result-They love Pier 94!

Good morning everyone.   Day two is about to begin but before that happens I thought you should know that day one appears to have been met with great reviews!  The designers have done a beautiful job with their spaces and the retailers seem excited to finally have this kind of show! 

We are having a wonderful time with everyone and hope to see you at Pier 94 today!

NYC & Pier 94 …. Here we come!

I apologize for being too busy to blog lately but it has been…BUSY!

Here is a quick update:

Last Thursday evening our truck left for New York.  It was filled with boxes of beautiful dresses, our show office supplies, display cases and just about anything else we use in Chicago that we thought we would need at the Pier to put on our kind of show.

Next up, we start arriving in NY tomorrow morning to begin show production!  We have to get the floor ready for all of our wonderful exhibitors and prepare for a very busy set up and yes, more boxes!

Exhibitor Listing Now Available!

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to give notice that our exhibitor listing is now live on our website newyorkbridal.com 

We are thrilled with the number of designers that share our vision for a better New York marketplace.  Most simply know that as an industry we can do better. 

We are not done and still working with an amazing group of designers that I believe will join us. 

I am off to Pier 94 tomorrow to start the floor plan!

100 + (and still counting)…Great Collections Contracted for Pier 94

It looks like everyone is getting ready to finalize their market plans and we are very happy to say that well over 100 Collections will be showing with us at Pier 94. 

We are still working with many gifted and extremely talented designers so we expect this number to grow a great deal over the next few weeks.

We are going to start posting exhibtor listings on our website as early as next week so please stay tuned-
